Sarah Thompson, MPH, RDN

Sarah grew up in a coastal town in sunny San Diego, CA. Her passion for nutrition and gardening began over many summers spent running around in her grandma’s garden making flower arrangements and eating her way through the garden; with tangerines and cherry tomatoes being her favorite. Her interest in connecting the farmers with the public to show them how their food is grown and expand access to fresh and delicious tasting food is what drew her to volunteering and working with Farm to School Frederick.

Sarah earned her Bachelor’s degree in dietetics and food administration from California State University Long Beach and went on to complete her internship to become a registered dietitian at Pepperdine University. She recently completed her Master’s degree in Public Health through the University of New England with an emphasis on program planning and evaluation and health education. She looks forward to using her skillset to increase programming and outreach for Farm to School Frederick.
