This personal experience ignited a deep appreciation for the importance of healthy eating and inspired her to become a champion for accessible and nutritious food options for all families.
Amy's involvement with Farm to School dates back to its early stages in 2018. In 2019, she embarked on a five-and-a-half-year adventure with her family in Germany. This international experience allowed her to immerse herself in different cultures, travel extensively, explore diverse cuisines, and learn the German language.
Upon returning to the United States, Amy was more driven than ever to advocate for nutrition equity. Her experiences abroad highlighted the importance of ensuring that all families have access to fresh, affordable, local, and nutritious food. Beyond her work at Farm to School, Amy enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the mountains, running, and preparing delicious plant-based meals.
